I wanted an outdoor oasis. A place where my family could re-unite. Eat, play, relax.
That is exactly what I got working with Jay. I interviewed several contractors and his price was on par with everyone else’s. He was instrumental in making sure my vision was feasible and safe from a structural aspect. He was helpful with ideas that i might not have come up with on my own. He was attentive to small details that I think other contractors might have overlooked. And even after the project has wrapped up, he has still been following up to make sure everything turned out the way we wanted it.
I had Jay build a covered patio attached to the house with an outdoor grill. He also did concrete work on the driveway which needed repair. And he revamped our front lawn entirely (new bedlines, new grass, adjusted the irrigation, stamped concrete sidewalk.) I am still amazed that I was able to work with one contractor for all these things.
It felt like he cared about my project as if it was his house. I recommend him whole heartedly!

Just recently, we moved into a new home. Brand new. The backyard consisted of essentially a rectangle of grass. Not a tree, nor a shrub. Thanks to Bonnie Reynolds, who came up with a plan, working closely with the always amazing Geri Schary, and Jay Praytor, whose crew executed Bonnie and Geri’s plan perfectly, we now have an amazing, magical, and unusual back yard. We will be enjoying this environment for many years. When I asked Jay how long this ambitious (running stream, lighting, sprinklers, major rock work, etc.) would take, he calmly looked at me and said “A week and a half, pending no weather delays.” I gotta tell you, I doubted that. But that’s exactly what it took. His large and dedicated crew made it happen. Nice people, hard working, fun to have around. I can not tell you how happy Geri and I are with our garden, and our new house. If you’ve got some work to get done, these people are nothing short of stellar.

We will most likely call you again next Spring to install the Zoysia on the east side. Until then, you already get a lot of business from the Coppell group referrals but if we can do anything in the way of recommendation/reference, feel free to ask. There are so few contractors that will really do a job right with integrity, and we also appreciate that you could and did handle everything that came up (and with the weather and sprinkler issues there was a lot).
